Last September 30, 2011, I em-braise up my formally embarked a new business venture as I opens my very first branch of Rain Tree, a Teapresso “café,” that is set to change what milk tea is all about.
Having been born in the family that owns and runs Pampanga’s Best, owns a simple franchise business and knowledge from my course I think I know a thing or two about business. I know that it is either the price, and/or product differentiation (best if both are achieved) that make a business either prosper or plummet. Rain Tree apparently seems to satisfy both – with its price being very affordable for what it offers, plus with new and innovative items none of its competitors have.
So what makes Rain Tree different from other tea places?
- Rain Tree is pro-organic. The flavors of their teas are from dried loose tea leaves and NOT from artificial powder nor syrup. (Imagine how strong the flavors are?). Plus their fruit jellies are made of real fruits!
- Rain Tree brews its tea bags to extract that full, fresh tea flavor in every cup.
- Rain Tree has narrowed down the best-tasting teas that at the same time also have the most health benefits for its consumers.
- Rain Tree exposes and widens their consumers’ tea choices. Other than the common Matcha Green Tea, Black Tea or Oolong Tea etc., they also have rare but equally delightful and gratifying flavors to try (like the Sensha Kyoto Green Tea that is closest to coffee in flavor). And to educate their consumers and encourage them to try out the uncommon ones, jars of dried, loose tea leaves are displayed on a shelf by the counter. Customers are free to pop open the jars and savor the aroma of different dried tea leaves. (I’m telling you they all smell good it’s difficult to pick just one base tea for your drink).
- Rain Tree has a wide, but not overwhelming, drowning menu that caters to any age and taste. They have 6 categories – Hot Blends, Pearl Milk Tea, Fruit Tea Infusion, Smootea, Pearl Tea Float and the Dessert Blends. You probably have not seen the last two in other milk tea chains!
- Rain Tree brings a whole new pleasurable experience to our Tea-drinking.With our favorite desserts (Red Velvet, Mango Torte, Banoffee Pie, Blueberry Cheesecake etc.) being served in a cup, and a Pearl Tea Float that is equally satisfying, minus the soda (and hence the tons of sugar), we can enjoy good, quality, sweet stuff with less guilt, and in fact even reap health benefits!
